We're Getting Married
It's been 10 years since we met, on the eve of a new century in Queenstown, 1999. A whole lot has happened since then, not the least of which being the birth of our beautiful children, Wilco and Bebe. So after 10 years together it's time to make it official, and finally celebrate!
The Ceremony
The ceremony will take place at the north end of Waihi Beach (down the Main), at the special spot we enjoy every summer.
Ross and Wilco would love you to join them at 2pm at the ultimate kiwi beach bach - and a place very close to our hearts - 22 The Esplanade, for the short walk down to the beach where the ceremony will be held. Look out for the swings and slide down the Main end of the Beach, and the Bach is tucked away behind it.
After the ceremony, let's all head back to the Bach for a few drinks, hopefully some sun, and a few toasts.
The Reception
We came across the Bowentown Boating Club almost by accident one day when we were looking for a venue. As soon as we saw the view out the window as the sun was going down, we knew it would be the perfect place to have a party. They even have plastic fish on the walls.
Drive back through the Waihi Beach shops, keep going straight and Wilson Road turns into Seaforth Road and you just keep following that road for about 10 minutes, straight through the round-about at Island View, until you hit Bowentown and a round-about that if you turn right at will lead you onto Pio Road, and at the end of Pio Road you will see The Bowentown Boating Club overlooking the water.
We really hope you can make it, because we four would love to have you there to help celebrate our special day. We've included some links down the side here with some places to stay in the area.
P.S. We have set up a wedding register with The Flight Centre to save up for a holiday. If you want to, contact Simone Dasent at the New Lynn Branch on 09 827 6622 or email her on simone.dasent.nz@flightcentre.co.nz
